Please understand that enhancing a
regular photo rather than a professional photo is much harder and takes more
time. If you are taking pix's for a pageant shot to be enhanced, here's just a
few ideas...
1. Don't put any makeup on the child. Its much
easier for me if there is none on as I will add everything myself.
2. Please try to make sure there are no big shadows on the face.
Some shadows are fine as they give definition, but alot of shadow is very hard
to blend. Also, please make sure the face is not too overly lit.
Outside lighting works best, or if that can't happen, have them sit with a
mirror or foil on their lap to help the face be lit up more naturally.
3. Don't worry about where you take the photo. I will cut out the
background and add one for you that coordinates with what she has on.
4. Since I use Photoshop, I have alot of hair brushes, but its probably
better if you can already have their hair styled. I'm still learning about
drawing in hair. It doesn't have to be perfect and I can add curls,
ringlets, or whatever you want, but just try to have it styled the way you want
it. I can always add more hair.
5. If you're wanting a glitzy photo, make sure you have a good topper
combo, meaning shirt, hat/bow/beads or whatever you desire. I can always
change colors to match. But if you take a look at the glitzy photos, they
are usually in some kind of sportswear outfit or their pageant dress. A tee-shirt
wouldn't work.
6. And most importantly, if your using a digital camera, please have it
set on the highest quality. If you took them with a regular camera, I need
them scanned at 300 DPI's. The photo/photos need to be saved as a jpg or
in tif format. If you have questions about this, please feel free to email
me.
*Everything is done online. Its very simple. There is a form you need to fill out, which is on my first page. Just click the "Online Order Form" link and this will take you to another page. After filling out the information and clicking the submit button, then email me your photo/photo's. Please make sure everything goes to info@kelsphotocreations.com. After I'm finished or near finished with your photo, I will send to you for approval. If your not happy with it, let me know what you would like changed and I will do it. My work is 100% guaranteed!! I only ask for a $10 down-payment of which will go towards your order. If I cannot make you happy, you will get this money back.
When you are satisfied with the photo and after you have paid, I will email you the picture in a very large format so you can have more copies made if you want. I will then send Walmart, nearest you, the original file from my computer. I have not heard one person complain how well Walmart's prints are. They definitely look professional.
Composites
There are different kinds of composites. The first one is a pageant composite, which you can view on my site under the "Composites" link. This should consist of anywhere from 4-8 photo's. All photos should be clear and of high quality. Your pictures should consist of a variety of different looks, clothing, hairstyles, indoor/outdoor, professional/natural/snapshots...however you want to do it. These photos will be arranged on the comp as an 8X10 picture. I will use different ideas for each comp, but if you have something you would like for me to do, please let me know. I will cut a picture or two out and just lay it on a colorful background and/or dress up the photos with clipart. I normally only put the first name of the child on your comp, but if you want it different, please let me know.
A modeling composite is very different than a pageant comp. Normally I use one full bodyshot photo as the main photo and three to four smaller photos. These pictures must also be of a high quality and need to be natural only. Agencies throw away composites that are not natural. They want to see the true beauty of the child. These photos should, again, consist of different poses and outfits, hairstyles, indoor/outdoor, etc. These are not actually decorated, but typeset neatly with the child's name, age, height, hair color, clothing size, shoe size, hair color, eye color (not all agencies expect this much information). Facial expressions are very important in showing personality for an agency. (For instance, my older daughter used to model and the picture that landed her a Fisher Price commercial, I absolutely hated, but they loved the expression), so this just goes to show you that smiling, grumpy, eyebrows raised, etc. are good modeling expressions. I also have a list of agencies I will give you from whatever state you are from.
Pageant Composites are $30 to $35, depending on if I have to retouch any of the photo's.
Modeling Composites are $30 for one sided. For two-sided comps, the price is $40. I can send them out to be printed for you or you can do it yourself. Just let me know.
I haven't had alot of opportunities to do portfolio shots. Especially creative ones. I do have a few samples up though. I have alot of great ideas, so if this is something your interested in, please let me know. This will be easier to explain in an email.
Portfolio Pictures are $30 each.
If you are a photographer and need photo's retouched, please contact me at my provided email address. I've become pretty handy with taking people out or adding people to photos. Also deleting objects or adding something can also be done. I have a link to some of my samples on my first page. Prices are negotiable.
There are many other things I can do such as wedding invitations or any other invitations, business cards, graphic art, personalized photo pictures (a wonderful gift for anyone), logo creations, website setup, hosting, and creating with upkeep. I do own pageantlife.net, so if you would like for this to be your webpage extension, I have plenty of space available. Anything else??? Just email me.
PLEASE NOTE:
I reserve the right to use any
photos I have retouched for advertising purposes on my website and/or
advertising banners I post. If this will be a
problem, please let me know in advance. Thank you.
